• Essential Tips: Due to the high altitude, temperatures can fluctuate drastically. Bring layers (a warm sweater or light jacket) as the morning and evening mountain air can be quite chilly, even if the daytime sun is strong. Sturdy walking shoes or sneakers with good grip are mandatory for safely walking on the uneven, gravelly desert ground around the boulders.
• Cultural Etiquette: The local communities in the Anti-Atlas are traditional and deeply respectful. Modest clothing that covers shoulders and knees is highly recommended. Always ask politely before taking photographs of the local residents or shopkeepers.
